Krefeld racecourse
The Krefeld Galopprennbahn is a horse racing track on which thoroughbred gallop races are held. It is located in the city forest of Krefeld . The racecourse with its Art Nouveau grandstands is very popular on racing days. Every year, three group races are held in Krefeld.
history
The Krefeld racetrack was built according to the plans of the architect August Biebricher . Between 1912 and 1913 and around 1922 he designed the grandstands and other buildings of the horse racing track in Krefeld, Hüttenallee / An der Rennbahn. The technical planning was done by the Stein & Ziedorn office in Cologne. The grandstand area, the training center and the racetrack are now listed as historical monuments.
