Kreisel quality building materials is the building material brand of HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH for the hardware store division.
history
The company was founded in 1976 as "Kreisel Chemie" in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt by Norbert Kreisel. One product from the early days was the “Neurofix” flash cement. A short time later, the second production facility for "wet products" was founded in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim .
In 1982 a major fire destroyed the production facility in Wiesbaden-Erbenheim. Since the production in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt was not designed for the demand, a new location was sought. In 1983 "Kreisel Chemie" changed its name to "Norbert Kreisel quality building materials". A short time later, the company moved into a new production facility in Petersweg Mainz-Kastel.
Since the 1980s, Kreisel has been primarily active in the do-it-yourself segment and supplied hardware store chains in Germany. In 1990 expansion began in Poland, Russia, Lithuania and the Ukraine.
The product portfolio includes products for construction and renovation, garden and landscape products, plasters and topcoats, sealing compounds, foams and assembly adhesives, tile technology and thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). In 2005 the company Norbert Kreisel quality building materials became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hasit Trockenmörtel GmbH.
In 2010, Kreisel Qualitätbaustoffe GmbH & Co. KG merged with HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH within the FIXIT GROUP for strategic reasons.
Parent company
Since September 2007 Kreisel has been united with Fixit, Greutol, Hasit and Röfix under the umbrella organization FixitTrockenmörtel Holding AG. The FIXIT GROUP is represented in 19 countries and at more than 60 locations.

The KREISEL brand will continue to be marketed as a full range of building materials within the DIY store division of HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH. HASIT Trockenmörtel GmbH is represented with a dense network of sales and production locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Romania. The product range extends from classic plaster systems, innovative insulation solutions to modern coatings for energy-efficient new buildings or demanding renovations.
