Kreiselternbeirat
The Kreiselternbeirat , also known as Kreiselternrat , is a legitimized representation of parents' spokespersons of the respective rural or urban district in all school-related issues, based on the school laws of the German federal states . He designs his organizational and content-related work independently and on his own responsibility, advises and decides on his goals and exercises the parents' statutory rights of participation. He coordinates forms of parent work within the districts , for example through information events, and maintains contact with the regional school parent representatives. The representatives for the state parents' representation are elected from among its members.
In the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, there are similarly set regional parents' councils , which correspond in their regional competence to the respective school supervisory districts .
