District Youth Convention

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The District Youth Convention (KJK) is in various regional churches (for example the Evangelical Youth Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia ) the highest body of the EKD at the district church level to represent the interests of the Protestant youth. His tasks include promoting communication between the young parishes in the church district and maintaining contact with other church groups and organizations of Protestant youth. He advises on all issues relating to the district church that affect the Protestant youth , plans and organizes projects and events for the Protestant youth at the district church level and administers them (if necessary together with the district youth warden) the budget for the Protestant youth in the church district. It is free to set up advisory boards to work on individual projects and to set up a board of directors to prepare for the regular meetings.

The District Youth Convention has two elected, voting representatives in the district synod represented. In addition, he strives for a regular exchange with the regional church committees of the Protestant youth by sending elected representatives to regional church committees (regional youth assembly or regional youth convention) and supporting the youth chamber in regional church projects.
