The Kreisjugendring München-Land ( KJR ), based in Pullach im Isar Valley, is an amalgamation of 32 youth associations and independent youth welfare organizations in the Munich district . history

In the first ordinary elections in 1947, the Kreisjugendring München-Land was put on a democratic basis as a district youth committee, the forerunner of the KJR. The committee licensed new youth groups in the Munich district, checked them for their military and National Socialist tendencies and took care of the procurement of suitable youth rooms. In 1962, Bavaria's first “open-door homes” were completed in the rural districts of Unterschleißheim and Grünwald. The KJR is now the sponsor of the three overnight accommodations Burg Schwaneck (Pullach), the youth meeting place at the Tower (Oberschleißheim) and the holiday and education center (Siegsdorf) as well as 29 youth centers. He runs mobile youth work in four district communities. In addition, the KJR is active in 49 schools in the Munich district for youth social work, at ten schools for the bound all-day school and at eleven district schools for the open all-day school. He is active in six communities as part of Young Integration.
