The Edle von Krempelhuber family on Emingen is a noble family from Bavaria . The oldest genealogical evidence of the family to date goes back to 1602.

The knightly and hereditary nobility title "Noble von Krempelhuber auf Emingen" and the corresponding coat of arms was awarded to Sebastian Ludwig in 1790 for his many years of employment at the electoral court from the then Bavarian Elector Karl Theodor (1724–1799) .

Possessions

Over the years, the family owned buildings and properties in Bavaria that are still known today. Due to the division of the estate and the times of upheaval at that time as well as social changes in Bavaria around 1850, the property was slowly but inexorably fragmented.

Personalities

Members of the family were always to be found in the areas of government, trade, literature, forestry, science and the military. Outstanding personalities worth mentioning in this context were:

  • Sebastian Ludwig von Krempelhuber (1739-1818)
  • Joseph Matthias Johann Nepomuk von Krempelhuber (1771–1827), businessman and owner of the business "Lorcy & von Krempelhuber" (now "Dallmayr")
  • Otto von Krempelhuber (1849–1921)
  • Franz von Krempelhuber (1865–1912)

genealogy

Born in 1612, Johannes Sebastian is the oldest “Krempelhuber” known by name. Documents from this period suggest further ancestors through records of tax payments in 1602. Names and more precise data on this could not yet be found out.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the family branched out into four largely independent lines. Therefore, the newer family trees of the family only include the respective line, starting from the respective ancestors.
