Careful parking of bicycles thanks to the Kreuzberg bracket

The name Kreuzbergerügel is used for a bicycle parking system that is firmly anchored in the ground . This is named after the Berlin district of Kreuzberg , where it was used for the first time in the 1980s. In contrast to parking systems with clamping slots for the front wheel - where there is a certain risk of damage to the rim - the aim of installing the Kreuzberg bracket is to give the cyclist the opportunity to park the bike gently and in a space-saving manner. In addition, the Kreuzberg bracket enables the bike to be securely attached to the frame without any problems, thus ensuring greater security against theft.

Construction

The shape corresponds to two metal pipes that rise vertically and are horizontally connected to each other at a height of 1.20 meters. There is also another metal pipe at a height of 60 centimeters. In other words: an upside-down “U” with an additional crossbar.
