history

The church was built with the Norbertanner nunnery belonging to it in the years 1636 to 1643 in the style of the early baroque and consecrated to Saint Norbert. The church and monastery were taken over by the Greek Catholic community as the Exaltation of the Cross in 1808 and the interior was rebuilt. In 1940 Stepan Bandera got married in the church .
