The Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination ( ISO 4 :... J. Econ Interact Coord) is a scientific journal with peer review process used by Springer Science + Business Media as the official journal of the Association of Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents is issued. Since it was founded in 2006, it has been dedicated to the interdisciplinary field of agent-based modeling in economics and social sciences . This includes experimental economics , economics , nonlinear dynamics , complex adaptive systems . Most contributions come from economics, physics , computer science and related fields.

The journal regularly publishes special editions of the Annual Workshop on Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents (WEHIA).

The editors are Thomas Lux , Shu-Heng Chen and Giulia Iori. The advisory board consists of Mauro Gallegati, Masanao Aoki and Alan Kirman .

reception

In 2016, the impact factor is given as 0.931. A study by the French economists Pierre-Phillippe Combes and Laurent Linnemer ranked the journal with a C in the fifth of six categories, ranking 425 out of 600 economic journals. In the ranking of the Handelsblatt in 2013 and 2015, the magazine was in the lowest category.
