Fabrice Zumbrunnen

Fabrice Zumbrunnen (born December 2, 1969 in La Chaux-de-Fonds ) is a Swiss manager . Since January 2018 he has been CEO and President of the General Management of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives .

Zumbrunnen consisting of Romandie comes, concluded in 1992 the study of economics and sociology at the University of Neuchatel with the licentiate from. In 1993 he became the branch manager of Coop Neuchâtel-Jura in La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 1994 he moved to the violin maker Claude Lebet, Luthier, as private secretary and accountant . Before joining Migros in 1996, he was Sales Manager at Obtech Medical AG in Zug in 1995 . In 1996 he also completed a postgraduate degree in statistics at the University of Neuchâtel.

At the Société coopérative Migros Neuchâtel-Friborg (Migros Neuchâtel-Freiburg) in Marin-Epagnier , Zumbrunnen was a trainer, project manager and sales manager. In 2001 he became Head of Marketing & Logistics and a member of the Executive Board. Most recently, he became managing director there in 2005, before moving to Zurich in 2012 as head of Department I (human resources, cultural and social affairs, leisure) and member of the general management of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives .

In March 2017, Fabrice Zumbrunnen was elected as successor to CEO Herbert Bolliger by the Board of Directors with a majority of one vote . Since January 2, 2018, he has wanted to make the company headquarters more efficient, less cumbersome and organizationally leaner with his “Fast forward” program.

Zumbrunnen is President of the Board of Trustees of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI). He is married and has two children.
