The Alt Olvenstedt war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Magdeburg district of Alt Olvenstedt in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a minor monument under registration number 094 81900 .

General

The war memorial in Alt Olvenstedt was consecrated on August 12, 1934 to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the First World War . It stands in a small park-like green area on the Freiheitsplatz . There are two pillars made of three cuboids each. The cuboids are made of Elbe sandstone from Pirna . There is an inscription in the two upper cuboids. A stone cross is hung between the two pillars, which is decorated with a sword with the dates 1914 and 1918. The back is decorated with oak leaves .

With the consecration of the war memorial, a list of names of the fallen was placed in a crypt by the memorial.
