The Annaburg War Memorial is a listed war memorial in the city of Annaburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located south of Torgauer, west of Zülldorfer Strasse in the western part of Annaburg, in the front part of the zoo.

Architecture and history

The war memorial was erected in the mid-1920s for those who fell in the First World War . It was created as a monumental -looking cube made of sandstone using Art Deco forms , according to another opinion of Expressionism . built. The substructure is multi-level, the monument is crowned with points reminiscent of flames.
