The Birkholz war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Birkholz district of the city of Tangerhütte in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed as a small memorial under registration number 094 30604 .

General

The war memorial in Birkholz is located on the Street of Peace on the cemetery grounds of the local church . It consists of a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the First World War and a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Second World War . The memorial for the fallen soldiers of the First World War is a granite slab on a field stone heap for the places Birkholz and Sophienhof . A plaque with an inscription and the names of the fallen, decorated with a soldier's helmet, is embedded in the granite slab. A brick wall with an embedded memorial plaque for the places Birkholz, Sophienhof and Scheeren was erected for the fallen in World War II . The plaque also contains an inscription and the names of the fallen, separated by location.
