Scheeren belongs to the village of Birkholz and is a district of the town of Tangerhütte in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

The small village Scheeren is located five kilometers southeast of Tangerhütte and is surrounded by the “Scheerensche Forst” forest.

history

Scheeren was originally a village with a church. In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Schorne or Scherne .

On September 30, 1928, the Scheeren manor with the rural communities Scheeren and Birkholz and part of the Birkholz manor were merged to form a rural community Birkholz and continued as a district of Birkholz. Scheeren has been part of Tangerhütte since May 31, 2010 (incorporation of Birkholz after Tangerhütte).
