Hüselitz is a town and part of the town of Tangerhütte in the south of the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The place in the southeast of the Altmark lies between the Tangermünder-Buchholzer ridge and the Tangier river . The terrain drops from 90 meters above sea level towards the south to the Tangerniederung by almost 60 meters. The city of Stendal is about 13 kilometers from Hüselitz.

The district of Klein Schwarzlosen belongs to the former municipality and current village of Hüselitz.

history

The place originally settled by Wenden was first mentioned in a document in 1345 as a huselite , and the village church was built a hundred years earlier. It was extended with bricks in 1902 .

On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Klein Schwarzlosen was incorporated into the municipality of Hüselitz. The district of Klein Schwarzlosen was first mentioned in 1338 as Svartelose minus - also from Wendish - the church in Klein Schwarzlosen dates from the middle of the 13th century.

On May 31, 2010, Hüselitz merged with the other municipalities of the Tangerhütte-Land administrative community to form the new town of Tangerhütte.

The volunteer fire brigades in Hüselitz and Klein Schwarzlosen shape village life, they are the sponsors of the village festivals and the traditional Easter, May and October fires.

Economy and Infrastructure

A turkey fattening facility is operated in Hüselitz. The association Haus und Grund, Hüselitz and the surrounding area is based in town.

Hüselitz is on the L 30, the country road between Tangermünde and Lüderitz - there is a connection to the federal road 189 . Regular buses and on-call buses run by Regionalverkehr Westsachsen (RVW) under the brand name stendalbus . Demker train station, about two kilometers away, is on the Stendal – Magdeburg line .
