Uetz is later listed as a rural community, but lost its independence after 1873. The rural community of Uetz was formed on April 1, 1907 from land with a total area of 583.5754 hectares, which were separated from the rural community of Kehnert "by the highest decree of June 28, 1906".

coat of arms

Blazon : “Fourth of silver and red; Field 1: two red spades crossed diagonally with the blade down, field 4: a red plane. "

The coat of arms was designed in 2000 by heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .

Uetz has no outstanding historical events of importance. It had been a small rural community for centuries, the inhabitants of which lived mainly as small farmers and farm workers from agriculture. The place has no particular architectural monuments or is associated with legends and myths.

The village never belonged to the Altmark, but belonged to the Archbishopric of Magdeburg, later to the third district of the Holzkreis, then to the Wolmirstedt district, and after the administrative reform of 1952 to the Tangerhütte district.

In 1951 the place had its own seal showing a spade and a planer. While the spade referred to the small farmers of Uetz, the planer symbolized the woodworking industry that settled here in the 19th century. In addition to two coffin factories, there was a sawmill powered by a steam mill.

With the color representation, the colors red - silver (white) refer to the colors of the ore monastery Magdeburg to which the village once belonged.

The colors of the place are - derived from the tincture of the shield -: red - silver (white).

flag

The district flag is striped red - white - red (1: 3: 1) (hoisting flag: stripes vertical, cross flag stripes running horizontally) with the applied coat of arms of the municipality.
