geography

The Altmark village of Groß Schwarzlosen is nine kilometers northwest of Tangerhütte and is bordered by the Tangier River in the west .

history

Groß Schwarzlosen, first mentioned in a document in 1050, was originally a parish village with two manors suitable for the state assembly. At the beginning of the 18th century the von Borstell family owned a manor . The other belonged to the landlord Thaer. Both lived on site.

On September 30, 1928, the Groß Schwarzlosen manor district, which had emerged from the manor estates, was merged with the Groß Schwarzlosen rural community.

On April 1, 1974, the community of Groß Schwarzlosen was incorporated into the community of Lüderitz.

On May 31, 2010, the district of Groß Schwarzlosen came to form the new town of Tangerhütte through the merger of Lüderitz with the other municipalities of the Tangerhütte-Land administrative community .
