The Großwangen war memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Großwangen in the district of Wangen in the city of Nebra in Saxony-Anhalt . The memorial is listed in the local register of monuments under registration number 094 83998 as a monument .

Two steles are surrounded by a semicircular dry stone wall on the slope side. The smaller one was built for those who fell in the Franco-German War . It is crowned with an iron cross . Some of the inscription is no longer legible.

On the larger stele, erected to commemorate the fallen of the First and Second World Wars , memorial plaques with an inscription and the names of the fallen were attached to the stele. The inscription on the memorial plaque for the fallen of the First World War reads In World War 1914-18 they fell: and that of the Second World War In honor of the soldiers of the community of Wangen OT Großwangen who fell and went missing in World War II .
