War memorial Peseckendorf
The war memorial Peseckendorf is a war memorial on the listed cemetery Peseckendorf in the town of Oschersleben (Bode) in the village of Peseckendorf in Saxony-Anhalt .
It is located at the eastern end of the Peseckendorf cemetery and commemorates the fallen soldiers from Peseckendorf in the First and Second World Wars as well as two concentration camp prisoners shot by the SS in the last days of the Second World War in Peseckendorf.
The monument consists of a wall with natural stones, which is crowned by a large triangular gable. There is an inscription plaque on the wall. The memorial is unusual in that it was created during the time of the GDR , which is also indicated by the language used in the inscription, and yet, uncharacteristically for the GDR, names those who died in war.
