history

Peseckendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1086 as Pesekendorp . Hillersleben Monastery had possessions here, which were confirmed in 1152 and 1220. Siegfried von Peseckendorf was a witness in 1196 in a document from Margrave Otto , and Dietrich von Peseckendorf in 1264 in a document from the Diesdorf monastery . The cathedral chapter of Magdeburg acquired the right to tithe from Peseckendorf in 1262 . From 1311 Johannes von Berwinkel owned half of the village as an episcopal fief . In the 15th century the Walbeck monastery had land in the village. The manor Peseckendorf received the Asseburg family as a fief in 1463 . From 1494 the parish village of Peseckendorf was desolate for a while . In 1617 Busso von der Asseburg provided his estate with strong walls and trenches, which were certainly useful to him in the Thirty Years' War . In 1848 there were already 15 farms with 118 inhabitants in the village. Two watermills also existed at that time.

On January 1, 2010, the previously independent community of Peseckendorf was incorporated into the city of Oschersleben (Bode). The zip code has changed from 39398 to 39387.

badges and flags

Coat of arms of Peseckendorf

The coat of arms was approved on August 20, 1999 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.

Blazon : “A rising red point in silver, covered with a black grooved, pointed silver tower with a gate and window opening each; accompanied at the top by two rising red maple leaves. "

The tinctures red and silver refer to the original membership in the Halberstadt diocese. The former water tower is the landmark of the place, which stands in the castle park. The leaves symbolize this park, in which many species of trees, including exotic ones, are found.

The colors of the former community are red and silver (white).

The town's flag is striped in red and white with the coat of arms in the middle.
