The Zscherben war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Zscherben district of the Teutschenthal municipality in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed as a monument under registration number 094 55386 .

There are two war memorials in Zscherben, one to the west of the church and one at the intersection of Teutschenthaler Strasse and Hauptstrasse . The one at the intersection is the listed war memorial. It is a stele that is crowned by a ball. The ball is supposed to represent the globe and is held together by a dove of peace . The word PEACE is written on all four sides of the stone slab under the ball . There are further inscriptions on the stele itself. On the front it says OUR DEAD MAHNEN , on the left OUR DEAD 1939 1945 and on the right OUR DEAD 1914 1918 . The war memorial was designed by the local peace association and erected in 1952.
