The war memorial in Rosenberg is located on the Rosenberger Schlossberg in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg-Sulzbach in Bavaria . It was built by Philipp Kittler and Hans Heckmann 1925–1929 for the fallen soldiers of the First World War in the strictly reduced forms of the Heimat style.

The remainder of the keep of Rosenberg Castle was built into the base of the war memorial. It is a stepped, tower-like structure made of embossed dolomite masonry . It consists of two parts: a large block with a side length of 10.5 m and a height of 7 m and a smaller block with a width of 5 m and a height of 9 m. On each side there are two iron plaques with the names of the 114 Rosenberg soldiers who died in World War I, above which is the German Cross. The structure is crowned by a 6 ton cast iron sacrificial bowl.

During the renovation in 1962, the original parapet wall was replaced by an iron railing.
