The war memorial chapel is located on Marienplatz in the Appelhülsen district of the Nottuln municipality in the Coesfeld district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The neoclassical chapel was built in the form of a temple in 1923 and is intended as a memorial to commemorate the dead of the two world wars. The relief inside shows the Christ Child, surrounded by intercessors, who blesses a dying warrior.

In the gable of the chapel it says: “Dedicated in gratitude to our war heroes”.

In 1953 the chapel was largely restored and redesigned by members of the Appelhülsen Citizens' Rifle Club. The side windows were bricked up and the walls were newly scratched . From 1970 the names of the fallen and missing from the two world wars were engraved on two large stone tablets and placed inside the chapel.

The chapel is a listed building. It was entered in the monument list of the municipality of Nottuln under monument number A109.
