history
The Gatzweiler brewery was located on part of the site between 1963 and 2008 (see the brewery for the key ). In 2003, the state capital Düsseldorf commissioned an urban planning report for this area, in the course of which the design by the Düsseldorf architects HPP was recommended for execution with various conditions. The client was "die developer Objekt Düsseldorfer VCD-Realisierungs-GmbH & Co. KG". The ARGE Vodafone Campus Düsseldorf, Zechbau GmbH Düsseldorf and Ed. Züblin AG Düsseldorf area.
The conclusion of a contract with a real estate fund enabled Vodafone to successfully merge the previously scattered locations in Unterbilk (including test center), Altstadt ( Mannesmann-Haus ) and Seestern.
structure
The 19-storey office tower with a glass facade and aluminum elements on Bundesstraße 7 is characteristic of the Vodafone campus . There is also a public Vodafone service center in it. The entire complex at Ferdinand-Braun-Platz 1 opens onto Willstätterstrasse and is also freely accessible. The site is designed for 5000 workplaces. There is a fitness studio, a company kindergarten and desk sharing for employees . For the new multi-storey car park, the existing connections to the autobahn were relocated at great expense.
