The warrior grave near Pylos (also known as the griffin grave or grave of the griffin warrior ) is located near Pylos in Messenia in southwest Greece. It is near the palace of Nestor .

The grave dates from the late Bronze Age ( Späthelladikum ) and dates back to around 1500 BC. Dated. It was discovered on May 18, 2015 by the University of Cincinnati archeologist couple Jack L. Davis and Sharon R. Stocker . It is the well-preserved grave of a man from the upper class with rich grave goods, including weapons, everyday objects and jewelry, including Minoan objects from Crete. An extremely detailed worked seal in Minoan style shows a battle scene. The age of the buried man is estimated at 30 to 35 years.
