Warrior pad
Kriegerpad is the name of a section of an old road that has connected the Netherlands with the middle Ems and (via the Folkweg ) with the middle Weser since the Bronze Age and continued into the Lüneburg Heath . This section runs largely on the route of what is now known as Kriegerdamm , between the Osterlemmen district of Lindern and the Ermke district of Molbergen . Both communities are in the Lower Saxony district of Cloppenburg . Further sections of the Altstraße that still exist today are located in the east of the Kriegerpad , the Herzog-Erich-Weg and the Reuterweg .
Since the warrior's pad runs near the border of the Leda and Hase catchment areas and is therefore longer in a dry state than the lower-lying areas, it was used as a trade route and as an army route. It owes its name to the latter.
