War Cross of Honor for heroic deed

The War Cross of Honor for heroic deeds was donated by Prince Leopold IV zur Lippe on December 8, 1914 , in order to be able to honor particularly outstanding heroism or individual war acts that were daring to die.

Appearance

The medal is a cross in the form of a paw cross . On the left and right arms of the cross stands FOR HEROOTHED DEED , on the upper one is the initial of the donor, an L and on the lower one the number 1914 . In the middle of the cross is the Lippe rose , which is surrounded by a laurel wreath .
