Total thriller

Krimi total ( own spelling KRIMI total ) is a German crime game and crime event series. It was founded in 2004 by Jörg Meißner in Dresden .

In this series, 18 crime games, a crime game book, 13 crime theater plays and three crime events have been published.

Crime games

In the games of Crime Total, the players themselves slip into the role of suspects in a criminal case. For this purpose, the teammates usually meet at one of the teammates' homes, dressed according to the role. The game is played as a casual discussion and can be combined with a dinner or buffet. In several rounds, information is revealed in order to convict the perpetrator at the end of the game. The perpetrator is allowed to lie in order to cover up his act.

The special thing about Krimi total: At the end of the day, the majority of the players decide which teammate is arrested as the alleged perpetrator and has thus lost the game. This means that every player not only has the goal of identifying the right perpetrator, but also, if possible, not to be suspected.

All total crime games can be supplemented by unsuspicious additional roles. The game “The Yacht of Power” is the first game that comes with a booklet with recipes from a star chef. (Recipes by star chef Benjamin Biedlingmaier) The game "Nachts im Salon Rouge" includes a booklet with cocktail recipes, which was put together by Ulf D. Neuhaus, bar master and juror.

More than 100,000 copies of the games in the total crime series have been sold.

Crime games for children

For the first crime game for children, "The Search for the Golden Shoe", Krimi developed a completely new and child-friendly crime game concept. The game includes a complete party planner for parents, in which all relevant and numerous additional actions are explained step by step. The special thing about it: Various actions that match the story alternate and can even be played outside. So you can spend a whole afternoon, e.g. B. design a children's birthday party.

Crime game book

In the crime game book by Krimi total, the reader himself leads the investigation. The book is not read like a classic novel, but you can leaf through the book at any time to research. The book can be solved as a solo adventure alone or with a group.

Crime total dinner

Krimi total Dinner is a combination of crime theater with elements of improvisation. The guests are mostly spectators, but are drawn into the story by the actors. Individual guests can take on small guest roles. The goal for the guests is to guess the right culprit.

The plays by Krimi total are performed in hotels and restaurants in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and usually have five acts. A four-course dinner is usually served in the breaks between acts. There are performances as public events with advance ticket sales as well as customer events.

Special

• For various pieces, guests have the opportunity to come to the event in costumes to match the story. With “Search bride, offer gangster”, brides in their wedding dress can take part in the event.
• In December 2009, several events took place with the chef and pioneer of molecular cuisine Lars Ginsberg.

Crime total events

The basis of the total crime events are special crime stories - a mixture between total crime games, crime theater and improvisation. As part of this theme party, selected guests slip into the roles of suspects themselves. The aim is to identify the perpetrator through active research (including at the crime scene), clever questions and combinations. The investigations of the guests are supported by actors who lead through the evening and the criminal case.

Individual crime thriller events

• Under the title “Krimizug: Murder on the Saxonia Express”, Krimi total staged a criminal case in October 2013 in a DB Regio train between Dresden and Leipzig with around 160 passengers.
• Kick-off event for the central personnel advertising of the NRW police: on June 1, 2015, Krimi staged a criminal case for around 200 schoolchildren in the Lichtburg in Essen.
• Scavenger hunt for the wedding fair "JAwort" in January 2016.
