Kriminal-Tango is a hit from 1959 that was most successfully interpreted by the Hazy Osterwald sextet . The crime tango was originally composed and published by Piero Trombetta , an Italian artist. The text was composed by Kurt Feltz .
The single was sold more than 900,000 times.
The song reached fourth place around the turn of the year in the version of the Hazy Osterwald sextet and was in the German hit parade for 27 weeks. Ralf Bendix 's single of the same name also reached fourth place, but was only in the hit parade for 22 weeks.
In the list of the most successful German singles of 1959, the song came in tenth place in the version with the Hazy Osterwald sextet.
The song was covered by Ralf Bendix , Die Toten Hosen , Nina Hagen and other musicians.
