Kris Heyde
Kris LG Heyde (* 1942 ) is a Belgian theoretical nuclear physicist. He is a professor at Ghent University .
Heyde deals with the shell model and coexistence and phase transitions between different deformation states of cores. He works closely with experimental physicists, for example at the Institute for Nuclear and Radiation Physics (IKS) of the Catholic University of Leuven and the Finnish University of Jysväkylä.
He wrote textbooks on the shell model and introductions to nuclear physics. In 2006 he became a Fellow of the American Physical Society .
