Kristīne Šefere
Kristīne Šefere (born December 4, 1981 in Riga ) is a badminton player from Latvia .
Athletic career
Kristīne Šefere has been the dominant badminton player in the Baltic state since 1997 . She has won 53 Latvian individual championships . She was successful in singles, doubles and mixed. Her partners included Eduards Loze , Madara Puķīte , Ieva Pope , Margarita Miķelsone , Guntis Lavrinovičs and Dace Šneidere . At the Badminton World Championships in 1999 , however, she was eliminated in doubles with Margarita Miķelsone in round one.
