Elio Scardamaglia

Elio Scardamaglia (born July 27, 1920 in Amelia , † March 16, 2001 in London ) was an Italian film producer .

Life

Scardamaglia began producing films in 1951 as head of production; his own company Leone Films , which he founded in 1961, then worked for genre cinema and financed numerous box-office hits until 1977, including several spaghetti westerns and the solo films by Bud Spencer . He was also involved in films by Federico Fellini and Franco Rossi . With the growth of the television sector, Scardamaglia devoted itself to this sector and produced large budget films and mini-series. In 1965 he made his only film as a director under the pseudonym Michael Hamilton , the horror film The Killer Clinic .

He is the father of Francesco Scardamaglia .
