Charleston - Two fists clear up (Original title: Charleston ) is an Italian gangster comedy with Bud Spencer from 1977. The film belongs to the genre of heist movies .
action
Goofy Joe LoMonaco is the owner of the Blue Star , a floating casino that doesn't make a profit. Since he does not succeed in sinking the ship in order to collect the sum insured, he devises a plan together with his lawyer Morris. He announces that he wants to sell the ship for 3 million pounds , while Morris is looking for someone to sell him a ship of exactly the same design for 5 million. Of course, Morris would then not conclude the purchase agreement. But the plan fails because neither of them expected the cunning cheater Charleston. He developed a plan to ease LoMonaco by five million.
To do this, he has Scotland Yard inspector Watkins steal a painting by Paul Gauguin and makes it look as if LoMonaco has the picture. In this way he ensures that the police do not bother him, on the contrary, help him.
After several small preparatory rip-offs, the real coup takes place: Charleston appears as a wealthy Brazilian who finances a show in a small theater in London . There he meets with LoMonaco and Morris. He buys the ship from LoMonaco and then lets him convince him that it was sunk in a fictional war. Since the sum insured is 7 million, Morris finally buys the ship back more expensive than he had sold it.
Lastly, LoMonaco is arrested by Watkins for stealing the painting.

Reviews
“A rogue crook who swindles the involuntary help of a Scotland Yard inspector and a greedy millionaire with dubious business practices try to outsmart each other. Despite a decent story, only undemanding and at times amusing crook comedy. "
"Bud Spencer as Charleston, despite an acceptable story and pleasant teammates, without his usual partner Terence Hill only has half as much charisma to the audience as in a duet with him."
