Buddy haut den Lukas (Original title: Chissà perché ... capitano tutte a me ) is an Italian action - comedy by Michele Lupo in 1980 with Bud Spencer in the lead role. It is the continuation of The Great with his extraterrestrial little one .

action

After the alien boy H7-25 stayed on Earth, Sheriff Craft quit his job and is touring the country with his adopted son, now named “ Charlie ” , on the run from the military . Both of them end up in the southern city of Monroe . Crime and violence have flourished here since the place no longer has a sheriff. After initial doubts, Craft is finally convinced by Charlie and accepts the job. With powerful arguments he can get over the marauding monsters and thus wins the support of the population as well as the jack-of-all-trades Howard , who is active in Monroe as mayor , radio DJ, judge, laundry owner and firefighter .

In addition, Craft is also overwhelmed with the H7-25, as it is constantly gossiping its true origin. Charlie is also constantly drawn to a local military site, since he suspects aliens from a neighboring galaxy who build androids and want to enslave humanity using brain manipulation. Craft dismisses Charlie's suspicions as a childish fantasy, but when the boy shows evidence to the sheriff, he finally believes him. When Craft wanted to turn on the authorities, they had long since been manipulated by the aliens and had Craft locked up. Craft escapes from prison but cannot prevent the aliens from kidnapping Charlie.

The hostile aliens then mobilize a large police apparatus , which Craft and the city gangsters who are now supporting the sheriff oppose. There is a big fight at the folk festival " Eldorado Days ". The aliens try to bring Craft under mental control during the brawl, which apparently succeeds. However, the sheriff behaves differently than intended, as he does not stay at the festival, but appears at the headquarters. It soon turns out that he was just playing brainwashing. He finally succeeds in eliminating the android army and the leader of the aliens, freeing Charlie and averting the threat.

At the end, a parade is given for Craft, which is interrupted by the approaching military, who are still looking for the H7-25 and its photon cannon. But with the help of this both can escape. The final picture shows Craft and Charlie flying through space in a vintage car .

Buddy hits Luke , the sequel to The Big One with His Extra-Terrestrial Little One , is the third collaboration between director Michele Lupo and Bud Spencer . The German film title refers to the fairground attraction Hau den Lukas . The scene in which the sheriff “hits Lukas” and knocks out an opponent like that was, slightly modified, included in the artwork of the German cinema poster. One of the locations is Monroe in Walton County (Georgia) : The Walton County Courthouse can be seen during a camera panning towards the end . Bud Spencer writes in the second part of his autobiography that the scene in which the sheriff is walking down the main street and the city gangsters join him is an homage to the western two reckoning by John Sturges . The amusement park where the brawl with the alien-controlled police takes place is Six Flags Over Georgia .

The original title is Chissà perché… capitano tutte a me .

Pictures of the locations

Props and film music

  • In the teaser sequence, the military are distracted by a spaceship from H7-25's father, after which Craft and Charlie can leave unmolested. The shots of the flying object itself come from the British science fiction series UFO .
  • The Christmas carol Silent Night is only included in the Italian version.
  • The title track Mr. Nothingoesright can also be heard in the credits. In between also as an instrumental version (e.g. brawl in the laundry / amusement park)

Note: Unless otherwise stated, the information on the versions relates to the DVD released by Universum Film in 2013 (No. 88765 42690 9).

The German cut version lacks about 16 minutes, including a longer scene in which Charlie sings with other children at a public Christmas party. Craft then appears as Santa Claus and is unmasked by Charlie, who does not receive a present. The sheriff later disguises himself as a barman in order to catch protection rackets. The German version lacks the scene in which Charlie appears in the bar, again reveals the sheriff's disguise and tries in vain to convince him of the presence of hostile aliens. The German dubbing over the Italian cut version on the 2013 Universum DVD later causes a contradiction: the sheriff calls Howard and asks him to see if Charlie is in bed at home. Howard replies that the boy is with him. Quote: And then he went for a walk and fell into the stream. He's a little wet, I'll take him home. After the sheriff has rendered the protection racket harmless, however, in a longer scene he searches for the sounds of L 'Ultimo Valzer in the forest and finds the unconscious boy. The scenes in which Charlie enters the alien headquarters on his own and falls into the water while trying to escape are included in both versions. In the German version, however, you can see Charlie in the sickbed immediately after the fight with the protection racketeers.

The scenes at the parade at the end are a little longer in the Italian version.
