Claudio Undari

Claudio Undari (born January 12, 1935 in Castelvetrano , Sicily , † May 12, 2008 in Rome ) was an Italian actor who mostly worked under the stage name Robert Hundar .

Life

Undari began his film career in the 1960 sandal film The Revenge of Hercules . A year later he starred in the comedy Halt mal die Bombe under the direction of René Clément , darling alongside Alain Delon and Ugo Tognazzi . From 1963 he was cast , initially often as a hero, later mostly as a villain in the spaghetti westerns that were extremely popular at the time , especially those of the Spanish director José Romero Marchent . His opponents in these films were among others Klaus Kinski , John Saxon , Lee van Cleef and Jack Palance . As the demand for this type of film waned, his film appearances became less frequent. His last western, The Man from Virginia from 1977, only followed a few appearances; Worth mentioning including the Bud Spencer comedy Buddy hits Luke in 1980, in which he played the villain again.
