action

Daniel is buried in an avalanche triggered by whiskey, saved by the bearded whiskey lover thanks to his dog. In Grizzly City, they find that all of the city's commerce is ruled by Ferguson and his people. Only the young widow Ellen Barton, who lives on a farm with her son Johnny and the Indian Luna, still opposes Ferguson's offers. After a wolf attack in the wilderness - Dollar's previous attempts to sell ties in town were unsuccessful - Dollar and Daniel find employment and affection at Ellen's farm. Again and again they clash with Ferguson and his people, whereby the dog Zanna Bianca is killed, the child is tortured and Ferguson wants to force his marriage to Ellen. Daniel manages to get hold of the documents of the murdered Burton, to expose Ferguson as the man behind the murder and to alert the Mounties. Then Daniel Ellen can marry, Dollar can get together with Luna, and the train can be run through a pacified and just area.

The film found no positive response from the critics, who saw an "unfortunate Jack London imitation" or a "boring grenade" with a "little eternal plot development" and "horrible comic scenes".

Remarks

The names of the people involved are very different depending on the version and language version. The dog role was filled with the wolfhound Habbash .
