Ferruccio Amendola

Ferruccio Amendola (born July 22, 1930 in Turin , † September 3, 2001 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and voice actor .

Life

Amendola came from a family of actors and is the nephew of screenwriter and director Mario Amendola . As a child he was seen in Gian Burrasca ; he played a pupil for Sergio Tofano . From the 1950s he worked in revue theaters, from 1954 he was also active with a certain regularity in the cinema, mostly in comic roles. Amendola was also seen in television productions such as Il gallo canta a mezzanotte and L'ultima faccia di Medusa (both created in 1958) or Il provino (1964). From 1968 Amendola devoted himself almost exclusively to dubbing, which he was interested in early on; he regularly lent his unmistakable voice a. a. Dustin Hoffman , Al Pacino , Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro . From 1982 on, he was again involved in some major television hits as an actor.

Amendola was married to his colleague Rita Savagnone; Claudio Amendola is their son.
