Once as Snow King ( English title: Mr. Plow ) is the 9th episode of the 4th season of the series The Simpsons . Dan Castellaneta was awarded the Voice Over Performance Award in 1993 for this episode.

action

In a snow storm, Homer wrecks his car. When looking for a new car, he ends up buying a snow plow . Many homeowners need Homer's help as their homes are now covered in snow. He quickly earns a lot of money and even receives an award from the mayor. When he talks in the bar about how well business is going and what award he has received, his friend Barney also wishes to be honored. The next day, Homer discovers that Barney stole his idea by buying a much larger snow plow. The demand for Homer diminishes until he eventually becomes unemployed. His award is also taken from him and given to Barney. When Linda Ronstadt finally sings in Barney's commercial, it gets too much for Homer. He tricked Barney by giving him the job of driving to a high mountain and clearing snow there. When Homer on the news sees Barney being buried in an avalanche , he saves him. After all, both want to work together; at that moment, however, the snow melts.

Allusions

After Homer prevented the day off from school by cleaning the way for the school bus with the snowplow, Bart is ambushed and "riddled" with snowballs - like Sonny Corleone in The Godfather .
