Kristian Levring
Kristian Levring (born May 9, 1957 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish director and screenwriter . In addition to Lars von Trier , Søren Kragh-Jacobsen and Thomas Vinterberg , Kristian Levring was one of the signatories of the Dogma 95 manifesto in 1995. In 2008 the Dogma movement was honored with the European Film Prize in the category “ Best European Performance in World Cinema ”.
Life
Kristian Levring graduated from the National Filmschool of Denmark . After completing his studies, he worked for several years as a documentary filmmaker as well as an editor for Danish documentaries and feature films. In 1986 he made his first feature film with the science fiction film Et skud fra hjetzt ( Shot from the Heart ).
