Kristiina Hormia-Poutanen is a Finnish agronomist and librarian .

Life

Hormia Poutanen studied agricultural science . From 1985 to 1997 she taught and worked as an information specialist at the University of Helsinki . Since 1997 she has been working at the National Library of Finland .

Hormia-Poutanen has been the eleventh president of the Ligue des Bibliothèques Européennes de Recherche (LIBER) since 2014 . She is the first woman in this position. In 2016 she was appointed library representative of the Open Science Policy Platform of the European Commission .
