The Kronprinzenschule at Kronprinzenstrasse 107 in Düsseldorf-Unterbilk is a primary school that uses a listed building.
Building description
The building was built in 1892 by the city planner Peiffhoven. The school building has a three-storey pre-blinded yellow clinker brick facade, while the plinth, cornices and ornamental bands were designed with red clinker bricks. The street side is nine axes wide, the three central axes of which protrude in a risalit. The risalit shows a gable with a pointed arch structure. The windows have a segmental arch. Articulated garments frame the windows. On the second floor there are pilaster strips that are connected by a console frieze.
The building from 1892 has been renovated.
use
The Kronprinzenschule is a two-tier primary school that is run as an open all-day school. Since the 2008/09 school year it has been based on the Montessori principle .
