Krum Kjulyavkov
Krum Pavlov Kjuljawkow ( Bulgarian Крум Павлов Кюлявков * 24. February 1893 in Kyustendil , † 20th December 1955 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian poet and playwright.
He wrote several dramas. Krum belonged to the Bulgarian Communist Party and after the Communists came to power in Bulgaria in 1944, he was involved in so-called purges in the arts. At his instigation, artists are said to have been dismissed and artists to be excluded from exhibitions. There are allegations that he was involved in the murder of the artist Rayko Aleksiev .
He was awarded the Dimitrov Prize. The painter Assen Wassilew painted Kjuljawkow in 1952 with other artists from Kyustendil.
