Kubichek! were an English indie rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne . After the singer left the band, they broke up in 2008.
biography
Kubichek! formed in 2004 from the four-piece band Parklandsway, which had recently disbanded.
They released their singles "Taxi" and "Nightjoy" on Fantastic Plastic Records. Their debut album , from which they released the four singles "Outwards", "Stutter", "Nightjoy" and "Method Acting", was released at 30:30 Recordings.
On October 23, 2007 they announced on their Myspace page that their singer Alan MyDonald had left the band. McDonald has been working on his solo project "Here Yee" since then. By Kubichek! Michael "Frog" Coburn took over vocals and bass. The newly added Graham Thompson became the second guitarist, but left the band a few months later. Kubichek! toured extensively and performed at The Sage Gateshead in 2007 to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust organization.
On July 4th, 2008, they announced their breakup on their Myspace page. The remaining members formed a new band, the "Black Flashes".
