Culture today
Culture today is one of the oldest feature programs on German radio. The culture magazine has been broadcast by Deutschlandfunk for more than 30 years .
concept
The half-hour radio feature section is broadcast live Monday to Friday at 5:35 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 5:30 p.m. - without music in between. The contributions deal with theater, opera, exhibition, film premieres and other cultural events. Moreover, culture is in Political background reports, comments and also as glosses discussed. According to his own admission, it is about “classification, aesthetic evaluation, the question: What does it mean?” In the initial phase, in the mid-1980s, the program was not moderated live as it is today, but broadcast completely pre-produced from the tape.
