The Bergen-Enkheim Cultural Society was founded in December 1976.

The reason was the imminent incorporation of the independent city of Bergen-Enkheim , on January 1st, 1977, from the Main-Kinzig district as a district to Frankfurt am Main . Bergen-Enkheim founded the Kulturgesellschaft Bergen-Enkheim mbH together with the Evangelical Church Community and the Vereinring . The intention was to be able to continue a cultural-political concept with the greatest possible independence even after the incorporation to Frankfurt am Main. Your job is to organize and carry out cultural events in the Frankfurt district of Bergen-Enkheim . These include the Berger Markt , the annual enthronement of the town clerk of Bergen and readings in the Nikolauskapelle . In 2009, the company set up a town scribe archive in which everything from the beginnings to the latest news about the award and the award winners is collected. Their office is on the upper floor of the old school in Bergen, above the citizens' office (registration office) in Bergen-Enkheim, at Marktstrasse 30.
