The language Kulung (also bakuli, bakulu, bakulung, bambur, kukulung, kulu, kuluno, where and wurkum called; ISO 639-3: bbu) is a jarawoide language from the Niger-Congo language family , used by a total of 15,000 people spoken in the Nigerian state of Taraba .

The language is used by various tribal organizations of the clan of the same name (Bambur, Balassa, Banyam and Bamingun) and belongs to the group of bantoid languages .

The number of speakers is falling, as speakers are increasingly adopting the official language of English and passing it on to younger generations as their mother tongue.
