Today, the transport company operates Transports publics de la région lausannoise - TL for short , formerly Tramways Lausannois - in Lausanne and the neighboring communities of Le Mont-sur-Lausanne , Lutry , Paudex , Prilly , Pully and Renens ten trolleybus lines . They are supplemented by various bus lines and the Métro Lausanne . Cugy , Epalinges and Froideville are no longer served after route adjustments . They are connected by the Lausanne metro (Epalinges) or the bus line 60 (Cugy and Froideville).

Line 8 has been running beyond Bellevaux to Grand-Mont since December 2009, but the TL only started at the beginning of 2011 with the 3.3 kilometer extension of the catenary . Until it was completed in December 2011, every second route on line 8 - the extension was initially only served every 20 minutes - with articulated buses. When installing the contact line, masts from the former overland line 20 to Montheron could be used in some cases. The line was operated electrically until 1993, the contact line dismantled in 1998. It was the last trolleybus line in Switzerland that was part of regional traffic and therefore entitled to compensation.

The 981 trailer was phased out in 2010 and has been owned by the RétroBus Léman museum association ever since . It is the first low-floor trolleybus vehicle in Switzerland. Car 2 from the opening year 1932 has also been preserved as a museum and is now the oldest trolleybus in Europe. More recently, TL has also given used cars to the Freiburg trolleybus (701, 702, 703 and 709), to the Romanian cities of Sibiu and Ploieşti, and to the Bulgarian city of Ruse .
Depots
The trolleybus trolleys in Lausanne are housed in the two depots at La Borde and Perrelet .
La Borde is located north of the city center in the area of the Vieux-Moulin stop on the route of lines 3 and 8. Access is via a short ramp from the intersection of the eponymous Avenue de la Borde and Avenue du Vieux-Moulin .
The Perrelet depot is located in the far east of the Renens municipality, in the middle of the tracks on the Lausanne – Geneva railway line at Chemin de Closel . From here, an electrified operating line leads over the Chemin du Viaduc through a railway underpass to Route de Renens , on which Line 7 runs largely parallel to the tracks to Renens to the west of the city center.
