Kumari Balasuriya

Neranjala Pushpa Kumari Balasuriya (* 1949 ) is a Sri Lankan politician .

Life

Kumari Balasuriya succeeded Kingsley Wickramaratne as governor of the Southern Province on October 23, 2006 and held this office until January 23, 2015, when Hemakumara Nanayakkara succeeded her.

She is married to the politician Jagath Balasuriya , who was among other things a member of parliament , governor of the north-central province and Minister for National Heritage between 2010 and 2015.
