Kung Fu Girl Juline ( Japanese 格 闘 小 娘 JULINE , Kakutō Komusume Juline ) is a manga series by Narumi Kakinouchi , which he wrote and drawn himself. It can be assigned to the Shōjo genre and is about a 14-year-old girl named Juline Kenga and her efforts to master the art of Kung Fu . Juline Kenga's hometown is famous for its Kung Fu dōjōs . She herself is a member of the “Kengakan”, in which the precious “Kenga”, the sword, is kept. Her friend Suishō Seika is a member of the "Suishōkanm", in which "Suisho", the jewel, is kept. Houkyō Byakuya, the third member of the group, guards the mirror “Hokjo” as a member of the “Hōkyōkan”.

But since a new dojo has settled at the foot of the "Mountain of the Sleeping Dragon", strange things have happened. Dark figures lie in wait for the residents of the town to lure them into Kokuju-Dōjō. Its master Kokuju has succeeded in bringing the three sacred tools of battle under his control. But the sword refuses to serve Master Kokuju. Therefore, Kokuju registers as Tamara Kokui at Juline's school in order to gain her trust and find out how he can make the sword submissive.

But Juline and her friends are suspicious and, together with Juline's good friend Kio, break into the Kokuju-Dōjō at night. When Kokuju discovers the friends, they run head over heels. Juline, Byakuya, Seika and Kio have to understand that they have nothing to oppose Kokuuu's uncanny powers and decide to train even harder in the future.

During such training, they are suddenly surprised by the four elite fighters of the Kokuju-Dōjō.

Manga

In Japan, the five volumes appeared in the Monthly Amie from October 13, 1997 to late 1999 and were edited by Kodansha .

The series was published for the first time in July 2001, beginning with the 4th issue in the German magazine Manga Power until it was discontinued in 2004. In the same year, the manga series was published in five volumes by Egmont Manga & Anime, a division of Egmont vgs Verlag . Claudia Peter is responsible for the translation into German. Kung Fu girl Juline also appeared in the USA .

The follow-up series New - Kung Fu Sisters Toku-Lin ( 新 ・ 風雲 三 姉妹 [特] Lin , Shin - Fuun San Shimai Toku-Lin ) appeared in America under the title Shaolin Sisters , in Germany it has not yet been published.

Novellas

On May 9, 2006, a light novel entitled Juline (2nd Ed) was published .
