Art space Riehen
The Art Room Riehen is the communal exhibition building of the municipality of Riehen and its art commission, which has been hosting art exhibitions since 1972. The presentations that have been taking place in the Kunst Raum Riehen since 1998 are dedicated to contemporary art in the Basel region . The commission for fine arts of the municipality of Riehen bears the curatorial responsibility for the program of the art space Riehen. It is administratively supported by the municipal administration. As part of the exhibition activities, the Kunst Raum Riehen offers a wide range of educational opportunities that place special emphasis on offers for children and young people.
The Art Room Riehen is set up in the converted former “ Dreisässenhaus ” of the “ Berowergut ”. Together with the studios of the international artist exchange program iaab (moved away in 2014) in the remise of the former country estate and the nearby Fondation Beyeler , it forms an art complex on a small scale.
